The following was again before the House in third reading: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 271(FIN)(efd am) "An Act levying and providing for the collection and administration of excise taxes on the rental of passenger and recreational vehicles usable on highways and vehicular ways; and providing for an effective date." The question to be reconsidered: "Shall CSHB 271(FIN)(efd am) pass the House?" The roll was taken with the following result: CSHB 271(FIN)(efd am)--RECONSIDERATION Third Reading Final Passage YEAS: 19 NAYS: 17 EXCUSED: 4 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Coghill, Dahlstrom, Fate, Foster, Gatto, Gruenberg, Guttenberg, Hawker, Heinze, Holm, Kott, Lynn, Masek, Meyer, Morgan, Samuels, Seaton, Weyhrauch, Whitaker Nays: Anderson, Berkowitz, Chenault, Cissna, Crawford, Gara, Harris, Kerttula, Kohring, Kookesh, McGuire, Ogg, Rokeberg, Stoltze, Williams, Wilson, Wolf Excused: Croft, Joule, Kapsner, Moses Williams changed from "Yea" to "Nay". Holm changed from "Nay" to "Yea". And so, CSHB 271(FIN)(efd am) failed to pass the House on reconsideration and was referred to the Chief Clerk for engrossment.
